Well got everything together nothing seems to work though. I am
currenty trying to just get one stepper motor to move via the
computer :) I am using a gecko 210 and sherline stepper motors along
with turbocnc. I am resetting the computer to DOS and the parallel
port seems correct, I have even tried to switching it in turbocnc. I
have the gecko set too +5v for the wire I have comming out of the
gameport of my laptop, is this correct so far? I am a little fuzzy
about wirring the motor it is a 6wire motor with wires labeled as
follows
Brown(A)
Black(ComA)
orange(A with a line over the A)
Red(B)
white(com B)
yellow(B with a line over it)
What is the correct way to wire this to the gecko. I tried what I
thought was correct based on the Gecko site and the motor just made
high-pitched noise but no movement. Should I be reading voltage
across phase a-b or c-d or just when I enter in a movement on the
Turbocnc program. Any other areas to check?
As always thanks for the help
