I think you are focussing on a VERY small issue in a much larger picture.

I have been told by others that downloading the tools from the net still doesn't make it a easy task to change the system programs but from your post I get the impression that it is easy to do. Your examples don't really pertain to the subject we are discussing. The actual G-code or conversational program for making the parts is not in question here.
