I really don't see your argument. You didn't create EMC, you are just selling it as part of
a package. You can have legal documents that clearly absolve you of liability if
the software is changed. It really doesn't matter, as the user can program the machine
to injure persons or damage equipment. All tools are dangerous if used improperly
or unwisely. What about people who disable safety systems and modify the hardware?
I think you are focussing on a VERY small issue in a much larger picture.
