Lilo trouble

Darrell is right about the FDISK /MBR option, and I have more or less
done what Steve suggested.
Some of the trouble may have something to do with Win98, as it stores
some info from the previous install. ( you can uninstall it - I just
don't know what it does in detail )

But, it is not quite the answers to my question. I hate to erase all
programs and reinstall the system, just because there is a minor flaw in
the master boot table entry. I have the correct data on the boot floppy,
so it should be possible to rewrite the table in a simple way. Maybe I
just have to dissect the RH installation program ?

I have written new MBR with DEBUG in dos, before - but I remember it
was difficult. But Linux should have all the data someplace, - it does
write this data during an installation.

Well, I will have another look at it.
