I also had great problems with Motion industries. I used to
get all my industrial supplies from them but they just went
to hell about 4 years ago.

Since my move to Georgia I continue to use my Chicago
supplier- Bearing Headquarters. Their prices and service
are very good.

I get all Bearings, timing belts, spiral bevel gears, seals,
etc. at a good discount from them even with small quantities.
Last order was 16 7205 ABEC-1 20 degree angular contact bearings flush
ground to 5% preload. I think they were $16 each. A manufacturer that makes
ABEC-5 as the next grade
was chosen for me so that ABEC-1 and ABEC-5 are three
sigma out in the distribution. That means 97% are better
than ABEC-1 and half are ABEC-3 or better at ABEC-1 prices.. Their sales
guys understand things like this.

If I mention that kind of spec to MI I get a "huh?".
