Ohh Chris,

...about that "link" bit, I'm afraid it doesn't become click-able.

BUT, cut and paste still works! And a few people have already
responded with entries! Thank you!

We will all benefit from having this info available... Even if only
by reducing list traffic in "is there any good/cheap
cad/cam/control..." type questions.

So c'mon, join in and add an entry. :-) or two, or three....

P.S. Chris, we already HAVE a place to share links of
interesting/pertinent stuff. It's on the FAQ's page, I think. Tim
will know as I think he was setting it up so that anyone could add to
the listings there.

The idea of THIS database is just to define broad categories of CAD,
CAM, and motor CONTROL S/W with a relative price shown, and a link
(okay, a url) for more info. If we can make it truly comprehensive,
it will be a great starting point for newbies, and upgrade resource
for oldies :-)

And we're not looking necessarily for recommendations in THIS
database, just raw data. Leaving the subjectiveness out HERE keeps it
simple and more likely useful due to the variety of opinions onlist.
This way the discussion is, "here are some programs I've looked into
(found them on the database). I'm trying to decide between these
three... " , instead of "are there any..."
