We can get older PC's in the US for very little money and they usually have all the needed ports. That's why I had thought to go that route myself. I'm talking $200 US or less. I don't know if I could find a new SBC with hard drive, CDrom, NIC, and ports enough to make a controller for the same money. The other side of the coin, is that these computers usually are about 70% air inside. Add a little more fan and it might even be feasable to put the whole thing in one box. Computer, powersupply and drivers.
Oh yea, paint it black. ;-)
