3hp..... square totally enclosed housing with external fan under larger top cover.
Nice and quiet. Maybe the noisy one has something out of kilter ??
For the cost, one can throw away a lot of conventional routers. The problem is
that just when you find a really good unit and have a bracket made, they will for
sure go and discontinue it !
American HF spindles ?? To my knowledge a lot more than Perske !
There is a company here in Wisconsin, down in Racine I think. Big Money.
Look at the M8 reference at Datron: http://www.datrondynamics.com/
The spindle link shows what they use. Probably a $10K spindle. I Wonder who makes
them so we could check out their dumpsters! :-)
I've watched some of these Datrons Run. Incredible stability for a machine that
"looks" like it is made from extrusions. Watching one hack out big passes of
aluminum at a show just blew me away.
