I have two Porter Cable #7518 routers. They are (over)rated at 3.25hp. We
bought them on recommendation from several folks in the router table
business due to the model's reputation for durability.
These are perhaps the noisiest routers in existance. I can't vouch for
durability yet because my router table, like all the other pies in my oven,
is only half baked right now.
The only problem, other than noise, that I'm aware of is that the price on
the #7518 just went up to $330 usd at discount. I paid $275.
