Ian,

You must have a gerber viewer program. If you haven't done so
already, download the free Camtastic viewer as well. After Autogerb
finishes conversion, it will ask if you wish to view the generated
gerber files. The view you get should pretty much match what you had
in ACAD.

The gerber file will be a series of X,Y co-ordinates of your data. It
is not G-Code though I think you could convert it to that.
