several items concerning archives.

0. i have been swamped with requests. i have 360 requests for cds alone.
i have lost count of all the e-mail requests. please be patient.
you will receive a copy.

1. i found several bugs in the html-to-text perl script which i am fixing.
once the bugs have been killed i will start burning cds and mailing them
out.

2. i have received numerous requests for some manner of 'viewer' to browse
the archives in some sane manner. so in answer to this request i am writing
a perl script to output html pages. each page will contain 30 messages.
given that there are over 40000+ message in the archive there will be over
a 1000 html files. each message entry on the html page will look similar to
the old egroup weg pages. the html pages will not look 'pretty' but they will
be functional. they will be strictly text based. this way someone will be able
to use a text only web browser to view them. ( lynx for example. )

this is a good fix for the short term. once people have received their copy
of the archive cd i hope there will be feedback to improve on the html web pages.

i ask that everyone who requested a copy of the archives please be patient.
