Marcus,
Yes, I do this kind of work - As a matter of fact I build the larger Flashcut machines for them (as well as those I sell under the Cardinal Engineering name and a couple of other private labels) - And I also publish the full plans for doing it yourself in HOME SHOP MACHINIST magazine with sources - Some folks want to do their own and some folks want to pay someone else to do it and make chips instead - I've always felt that the nice thing about this is that you can choose your own approach and either one is just as "legitimate" - The plans for the Grizzly G1005 retrofit are currently being published in HSM in about 4 successive issues - The Grizzly G1006 will follow along with detailed info on getting those "dead" Bridgeport CNC's running again
Been doing some work on a special waterjet cutting machine for balsa and plywood model airplane parts because I really hate the charred edges produced by the lasers - Am currently using a single nozzle but am making a special table with a 6 nozzle cutting head for it which should make the system commercially viable - Can furnish samples to those who might be interested
Have a new e-mail address and have had a hard time posting back into the group - That coupled with the fact that I've been traveling for the last 6 weeks or so - new address is cardinal.eng@... - old one was - cardinal.eng@... which should still work for a while
Roland Friestad (Friestad is the Norwegian spelling - Friestadt is the German)
