Not sure if it would apply or not. I mounted a Sherline mill on a small
Chinese surface plate, I used an anchor that had a cone inside it that was
expanded as the bolt was driven down. I expanded it only enough to hold in
place. Then I removed the bolt and ran some epoxy around the insert, it ran
down in the irregularities of the hole, and let it set. Then I added more
epoxy and finally set the cone very tight with a punch. The tops were proud
by a very slight amount, this I dressed down with draw filing. This of
course would only work if a threaded insert is needed, but you can later
install a stud if required.
I was very happy with the final results.
