There are also chemical anchors used to anchor machine tools to concrete.
the come packaged in various sized glass containers you just drop in a hole
and use the piece of threaded rod used as the anchor connected to a drill
motor to crush and mix the compounds. When an anchor of this type fails it
usually the concrete that fails before the chemical anchor.
