I recently measured the current on my servos, I used 10 1ohms in
parallel to give 0.1ohm, this gives a voltage change of
0.1volts/amp. The rise and fall time of the pulses for the servos
was less than 10nanoSec, measured on a 100MHz scope. All you will
see with 20KHz bandwidth is possibly a blip to tell you that there
was a pulse there, but I don't think you'll get any useful
information. Also don't forget that you will need proper terminated
scope probes if your measurements are to mean anything.
