Unfortunately you can't tell much by measuring voltage on the motor
phase outputs on a PWM full bridge drive, not even with a scope.
All the neat action is on the current sense resistors, but you need a
scope to see it. There, with a scope, you can easily see every
microstep and most everything else on how well the drive is
performing. It is the single most useful test point.
