injuries from your machine?

Hello,

Over on the master5 group we have had a thread on safety issues,
which prompts me to ask you all:

Have you suffered any injury in the use of your "homebuilt" or home
retrofitted CNC, EDM, or DRO system? Has someone you "allowed" (or
maybe DIDN'T allow) to use the machine gotten hurt?

What type(s) of injury, and what have you done to prevent a
recurrance?

What about near misses?

P.S. I do remeber Jon E saying he had his hand caught during a manual
move, but I think he managed to escape without injury.
