Hi John,
I too would like to know what you find that works.
I thought there was some weird timing or pause, or EOL, needed
between sening lines for Fanuc controls when sending RS232.
A while back (8 years), I made a NULL modem cable for a guy and
couldnt get it to work with his Fanuc control ( I didnt really know
anything about the Fanuc at that time, just how to make PC's talk).
I tried hyperterm and Tellix etc. Tellix had lots of setting, and I
probably had something missing in the setup.
Later he purchased some program(?) specifically for communicating
with CNC controls, and it( the same cable) worked fine.
I had this problem with 2 different machines and chalked it up to
some weird RS232/async protocol requirement of these controllers.
Hope someone can answer this...
