I'd say you had lady luck on your side that day :-)
very few machines could ride thru that kind of inturuption without
tripping an alarm ,faulting out to an E-Stop condition or just powering
off

at work we get a power dip now and then ,usualy just long enough
to flicker the lights for a fraction of a second ,some machines will
always go down others can sometimes ride thru it sometimes not
I've seen a couple times when the new CNCs would stay on and the
1950s screw machines would go down (with the feed still engaged)
and I've seen just the oposite at other times
given a choice I'd rather have the machine die in a safe and controled
manner than try to ride it out
