First contact was way back ('75?)when I needed some professionally-finished
black-anodized panels with precise 1.00" square holes on a specified grid

former life). Then I discovered they do "anything sheet-metal" (well, except
AC ducting, etc.!). They have done machine-bases, application-specific
junction-boxes, aluminum "electronic cabinets", headstock-covers, etc. to go
on the machines I do. This lathe has a base which consists of a brake-formed
shell which is ONE sheet of 0.175" mild steel sheet, with 2.5" sides folded
down. Then I used 2x2x3/16" angle-iron I cut and welded on intervals under
that, and to the edges, stiffening it considerably. Oh, and 3/4" angle
welded inside to the "rims" with swaged-in ΒΌ-20 inserts for bolt-down. I
also welded the "corners" where the edges "came together" when formed. Once
all the "nasty" was done (welding, grinding, etc.), I milled the bottom "rim"
true all around on a BP mill, and then bead-blasted it all around. Then
primer and finally almond paint. Looks like a new fridge.
Any questions, just holler! Jan Rowland
