I've been watching the thread with interest. I've helped move a W&S #4
turret lathe with nothing but two pinch bars. The driver and helper simply
seat the ends in the pry notches they give you in the feet, and then ...
umm ... well, they pry in intended direction. The machine obliges by
scooting off a bit at a time. If you can get it into a semidynamic state
where it's vibrating a bit, it's even faster; it will in fact almost slide
freely under force of a couple more guys pushing.

I've moved my own small hor mill over rollers by myself (maybe 2000 lbs),
but it's tricky getting machines up on them and off, as it requires
tilting. This can be minimised by blocking up a fraction of inch higher all
around, til it can fit over rollers. I used old MC fork tubes.

Whatever you do, roll the table ALL the way down on the vertical dovetail
FIRST.
