I've seen one shop that built steel pallets around the base of the machine
with channels on the outside and straps under so it only raised the base
about 1/4" off the floor
then they could use a pallet jack to move them around and make short run
work cells with two or three machines at a time or shove an idle machine
out of the way when they needed more room
