If the boss4 is anything like the boss 5, it has 2 rs232 ports,
marked local and remote. You can hook a pc up to the local port,
and send the machine NC code once you put it in edit mode from the
user panel. On the boss 5, there is a bank of dip switches on the
card that connects to the ports. This bank has 8 switches that
control baud rate, 4 switches for each port. I think max baud is
19200. Using a program like bobcad, you can send your nc code
directly to the machine. The bauds must match, and to get that to
happen, you may have to experiment some. The boss5 echos question
marks (?) when it doesnt understand.
Once the code downloads properly, you need to hit the clear toggle
switch, and the machine should be ready to cut.

Hope this helps.
