OK Jon,
EdtCAD has all of the things that Protel has, but only costs $2500
complete for the max system and with a small system, fully functioned for
only $129.00. Also it has a very easy to learn and use interface, and
handles up to 64 layers, full 32 bit floating point with mixed metric and US
units, full automatic forward and back annotation, DXF, Gerber and EXCELLON
drill outputs included plus full 2D mechanical capability, Spice and Aldec
simulation are available. Full SMT capability is included included ultra
fine pitch ball grid array, buried, blind and microvias supported---ect.
etc.
