A logic analyzer is something like a digital storage oscilloscope, except
that it only has 1 and zero readings for each input channel. the advantage
is that it usually has many channels, so it can examine a whole address
and data bus at one time. But, it still can be useful for looking at long
trains of pulses, especially if it has a long capture record.

So, yes, it tells you a lot more than a logic probe, which is limited by
what your eye can capture.
