RE: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Stepper Motor and Cable Shielding. Any tips?

Hi,

I also recommend you try your set-up with TurboCNC. I've built a step/dir to
phase converter for my CNC Taig Mill controller box. With TurboCNC I get
flawless operation, but when I use another program I have problems.

The other program works fine when moving a single axis. When I move multiple
axis the same distance an speed, things are also fine. Its when I move
multiple axis at different speeds (or distance) I run into trouble.

I find that some or all of the axis lock up. Its like the pulse train is not
constant enough. I haven't investigated the problem. I need to hook up the
logic analyser to find out what's going on.

My surprise is that with TurboCNC it works fine, otherwise I'd immediately
suspect my hardware.

Cheers,

Peter Homann
