"Keep your nice machine on your desk, running G-Code
does not require
a supercomputer."
well, i just so happen to already have a spare
computer to use for CNC. i cant help it that its a
pentium 3 system.
why go out and buy another computer, when i already
have one sitting here collecting dust?i dont really
have the room where the machine is to put the PC close
enough to it be able to avoid using monstrously long
cables. i also wanted to avoid taking all of it down
and moving the machine to another room.its either that
or build me a workshop that has enough room to put
them close together. but with the money that will cost
me, i could buy a decent CNC bridgeport off of Ebay.
i just wanted to try and keep the PC as clean and as
usable as i can, incase i need to use it if my main
rig craps out on me too.
maybe i can build something above the machine for the
PC and just forget about custom IEEE cables and moving
my bench and machinery.
decisions,decisions..............
