Hi,
Doesn't Kayla need thrust bearings on each end of the ballscrew
to keep it stable when pushing or pulling the table? Especially
on a larger mill. Or are there thrust bearings made to be
stable in both directions in a single unit?
Also, if your ideas are worth defending, go ahead and try
them out, succeed, or learn from mistakes. Don't give up.
I also recommend doing it right and not trying to save the
ballscrew for a future project. Just sell it with
the mill and move on.
