Thanks everyone for your suggestions and input.
Im just going to bore out the saddle where the original nuts were on
the leadscrew and make it large enough for the ballnut to fit into.I
was hoping to avoid doing this,as it is going to be very time
consuming without another mill large enough to do it on. But I
should just do it right the first time, even though its going to
take me forever with what I have to work with.
And Im going to capture the end of the ballscrew with a deep groove
ball bearing to keep it from whipping around, and am using a double
angular contact bearing on the motor end just to be safe.
Im not going to worry about having to machine the end of the
ballscrew because i am going to make a collar out of Delrin to put
around the ballscrew where it enters the deep groove bearing so it
doesnt mess up the screw at all.
