You will need a dxf to g-code converter. EMC is the control program and
does not convert dxf to g-code. You might try ACE converter which is
available for free from www.yeagerautomation.com/acd.htm and works pretty
good. FlashCUT will also convert dxf to g-code. You can get the demo
version of Flashcut 1.41 at http://www.flashcutcnc.com/html/dow.html which
will do a nice job of converting dxf to g-code. Either of these will most
likely require you to do some manual editing of the generated g-code to
produce the results you are after.

You could also look at Vector cad/cam software from www.imsrv.com or
TurboCADCAM available at www.turbocadcam.com (30 day demo) for a new product
which is based on TurboCAD V8 Pro and looks to be pretty good at this point.
