On my biggest CNC mill we do things like this in non-ferrous metals
occasionally. Put a square cutter similiar to a hollow chisel
mortise bit in the spindle oriented with the flats along the X,Y
axes. Lock the spindle and use the cuttter as a broach by feeding
downward in the axis. If there's alot of material to remove,
progressively nibble it away in small steps. For a low powered
machine this may mean taking very small nibbles.

Our usual reason for this is needing a part with a square hole in it.

Broken end mills ground square on the end work well.

never seen any way of squaring the corners in a conventional
workshop or factory. (except with a hammer and chisel)
