I see the mounts that appear to be made from extruded
rectangular tubing. My criteria for the conversion is:

1. Need to keep the handwheels and want the dials to remain useable.
The steppers I have are dual shaft, I need to keep the drive at 1:1.
2. Keep the modification to the mill as low as possible.

So, I am opting for direct drive. My options are:

1. Build it myself.
2. Buy Sherline
3. Buy from http://www.acumotion.com/mount_hardware_xyz.htm

The sherline is the most expensive, but everyone that has them
seems to think that it is worth the price. I know that I will need
to do something about my Z axis anyway ... it is way too sloppy.
