Jerry,
So you are using two of these in series for your Geckos? This is good
news, as it gives you a way to reduce the overall output and save
your drives life expectancy...
Simply wire one of the two primary's as if it was getting 220. It
will now output 1/2 of what it did formerly, dropping your overall
volts.
One other thing: Have you cross checked your voltmeter against a
known good one? Some of the inexpensive VOMs give weird (but semi-
believable) readings when their battery is low...
Even though your surplus transformers are 110 volt primary, and you
are feeding them with (I think you said) 122; this should still
result in about 75 or so volts using the two secondary's in series.
So i'd Check to be sure your meter's telling you the full story.
