Thanks, Jerry.
The basic two transformer design can be made
in 10a capacity increments by duplicating the
transformer part and paralleling, with a shared
higher capacity bridge rectifier and larger cap.
Larger versions would benefit from an inrush device
like a pair of Thermometrics NTC inrush current limiters
as suggested by Mariss. They are in Digi-key and only
a couple bucks or so each. He can elaborate later.
Now if someone can measure the actual voltage ratio
to see what is obtained with 117vac + 10% to make
sure that it doesn't pop amps in those not uncommon
high line voltage situations.
