Well, thanks, Mariss, for setting this one to rest! I'm not sure your
numbers apply
to all motors, but it certainly proves that this is NOT some old wive's
tale!
The effect IS subtle enough that without real instruments a person might
think he
got away with opening one without damaging it, too!
