Snip, I'm sure everyone has read the original and dozen replies.

I have a LOT of TTL type components I have amassed for such projects.
I'd be willing to ALMOST donate most of the electronic parts.

I do want to see them go to good and actual use, so a modest cost would
seem reasonable just to keep the anything-for-nothing types at bay,
like 5 or 10 bucks.

I have 8255 ICs, along with most of the other Z-80 peripheral
parts, of which the 8255 is just one. there are other timer and
IO types as well.
Also, thousands and thousands of hundreds of different types
of TTL parts and a fair number of different connectors.
I have a bunch of EPROMS as well, they do have other more novel
uses than as CPU type memory.
Lots of right angle DB9 and metal housed mating connectors.

I have a lot of each type, and within this group would have enough parts
to supply as many kits as I figure we would ever build.

Is there enough interest to do this?
