Hi gang;

Checking the archives would show numerous threads on this subject. As I recall,
the gist of them is that mouse encoders might be suitable for small servo driven
robots, etc., but the fine resolution is not there for really serious CNC work.
That being said, don't hesitate to have fun with them. Who knows, you might
build a better mosquito trap, or something.....:-) Then too, there's no reason
you can't add enough gearing to change that, but why go to the extra trouble,
when encoders are in the more affordable category of items?
