Well, maybe. Have you read the full .pdf documents? it has graphs of
counts/inch
vs. different textures and colors of backgrounds. Only at the optimum
illumination
for each material does it get the full resolution, otherwise it gets
less. Black paper
gives 50 CPI! Maybe with a printed scale for reference, it might make a
workable
DRO. But, with a plain background, I think it will have HUGE error
accumulation
in just a few inches. The onlt way to know for sure is to try it.
