Are you saying that you for a power supply, you double the nameplate ?

this seems to be contrary to what has been the consensus on this
thread.

That would mean a 4 amp nameplate motor would require an 8 amp power
supply ? even derated by 1/3 that would be 150% of nameplate and not
the 2/3 of nameplate ?

maybe I got a funny translation of my East European manuals : ) but
then so far, I have been really lucky that my 80% of nameplate power
supply has worked without burning up.

I know I have a lot to learn and I'll try to track down some of these
refernces. time spend on education is never wasted.

A quick Google and it seems Danaher is the link the the motion
