Matt,
YES to both questions. I am using a K6 II 400 to play with the stepper
version. I want to try it on a servo machine. I have a BOSS 8 that I am
trying to see if I can use the original drives or if I will need to replace
them in order to work with EMC. I hope to be able to use the original drives
as the machine is in working condition and the drives are 30 amp + drives
that switch at 16 K(the outputs are capable of 50 amps but at 16 K switching
are real whiners).
When you say the last machine runs ok, what speed are you talking about? I
am used to getting 120 IPM rapids and at least 90 IPM feeds with my kit.
