original BP drives (I had Microkinetics 8010's in half step mode) which are
probably a better match for the Superior/Sigma motors, plus you'll have
.0005" or .001" steps where I had .00025" ones. You'll want to get this
spreadsheet:

To set the PERIOD variable:
#cd /usr/local/nist/emc/src/emcmot
#emacs emcfreqmot.c
Scroll down until you find a line that says:
static int PERIOD=20;/* fundamental period for time interrupt */
Change this to PERIOD=12 or so to start.
<Ctrl-x><Ctrl-s> saves the file, <Ctrl-x><Ctrl-c> quits emacs.
#make PLAT=rtlinux_09J all
I'll give you a call later (left you a message a little while ago due to the
