Linux loads a bootloader into the first sector so to clear that out for
Windows use you would do a "Fdisk /mbr" and afterwards you setup your
partitions and format. Then Windows will load properly.
The only other option would be to use your Harddrives Manufacturer
utilities disk (or downloaded from their site) to write a clean Low-Level
to the drive. If you have Western Digital, they make some great software
free for download on their site.

If I remember right you can select your EMC to act as either a Server or a
Workstation/Client. If you set it up as a Workstation I think the error
might be normal. I'm not sure about this. I set mine up as Workstation
but didnt get the error like you did. When it got the error it just
continued to load and was gone.
