It was the 2.20B version

It has a 3com home click network card. It uses your phone line vs a real
ethernet wiring. I expect that the BDI recognized it as an unknown
ethernet card. I didn't get an option to configure it though. I basically
took the default answers to any question.

That is what I thought from reading this list and from the screen
instructions. Didn't seem to work that that way though.

This is what I did. I used Maxtor's Max Blast on my Conners drive.

I'm going to do some drive shuffling between some of my machines and then
try the BDI again. I picked up a Western Digital 120Gig drive the other
day for $0.83 a Gig. Doesn't seem like that long ago that $20 a Meg was a
great price. This will free up a 6 gig drive that I'll use in my shop
machine. Now to figure out how to set up Dual Boot before I try the BDI again.
