You didn't mention which version of SuSE is installed - Not that it makes too
much difference as long as gcc-2.96 is NOT installed. "gcc -v" should report
2.95 or 3.2 to be assured of success.
You will need to get a virgin kernel source from www.kernel.org (would
suggest 2.4.20), and also RTAI from www.rtai.org. Use the the stable CVS
branch for the latter.
I would strongly recommend using the CVS code for EMC as the RTAI support has
been much improved over the last year or so.
