SuSE linux and EMC??

In a great moment of weakness I could not turn down a Wal-Mart
computer. It was under $300 and had the following:

128 MB memory
20 GB hard drive
CD-ROM drive
Ethernet port
56 Kbps modem
SuSE 8.2 operating system pre-installed

Now that I have played around with it for a while (basic review is
pretty good for the bucks - but really cheap keyboard) I would like
to install EMC on it. Now the questions:

1.) has anyone used SuSE linux with EMC? Any "heads up" that I
should know about?

2.) I assume that the version of EMC to be found at:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/emc

is the one I should use. Correct? Or?????
