Like much of EMC documentation you can not believe all that you read.
This is not correct. I have EMC running with a pulse stream of 25
kilohetz. It will actually go somewhat faster depending upon the speed
of your system. For stepper use you can get the fastest rates with
steppermod.o, but the pulse stream is not evenly paced. You will get a
better pulse stream pacing with freqmod.o, but it take more system
resources. On the system you are running either one of the motion tasks
will give you a much higher rate than 5 Khz if you tune it properly.
