I bought mine off E-bay about 18 months back, ~ $1,600. I think they
are around $2,600 new. I struggled a lot with point cloud data. Used
points2poly (earlier version) and Rhino until I found a connection at
a university with Geomagic. It was amazing. I've only used it on a
couple of projects. It mostly collects dust.
