There is a "primer" which, as I THINK I understand it, is made of
finely-divided SODIUM metal in a thin petroleum-distillate such as kerosene or some kind
of mineral oil. When this is applied (heavily?) to teflon, it "etches" the
surface by reduction reaction with the F in the teflon, leaving the surface
"nasty looking", and that is SUPPOSED to be glueable. Sorry, I do NOT know the
formal name of the stuff, and MY can of it is inaccessible at the moment, or I
could simply read it off to you. SOMEone "in here" surely knows what the stuff
is, and where I got it! (Yes, forgot that, too! Age is a bitch!)
