I ran an RB1 that had R8 and we use solid collets so we could have a
tool Lib. That help us get very fast cycle times for differnt parts
(ie tool 1 edge finder/ master tool) tool 2 C drill and so on. With
the offsets like that I did my offset once and only did it again if I
needed to change the tool. I have never tuched a tool off in a
program and I would like to know if there are many people doing this
and if so what software can you do this (I know you can't with a
Fanuc).
