Re: Handwheels on a retrofit? Why!?

My sole intent when I first decided to CNC my machine was
to be able to eliminate the Hand-Wheels.

However...

That has not happened yet.
Even though their use has been and continues to drop,
I still find my self grabbing at them for various reasons.

I'll set a goal... When I've gone 3 months without touching
them, I'll find the Allen Wrench and remove them.

Next project... I'll CNC my Car and get rid of that pesky
Steering Wheel.

Oh! A Safety note. Watching my Mill do it's CNC thing, can
be very Hypnotic. I stepped a little to close, allowing
the Y-Axis Hand-Wheel to catch my crotch and lift me to
my toe tips. Could have been really ugly, if you know what
I mean.

Seriously though, those spinning Hand-Wheels can catch things
like trousers or oil rags, etc.
