That's not a very long life no matter what you were doing to the router. I
would suspect a bad/very cheap bearing. It should be fairly easy to replace
though with a decent bearing that should give you much better life. Try
taking the old bearing apart and see why it failed. If it is packed
with dust you might want to consider an external shield. Any bearing
supplier should be able to recommend a bearing that would be appropriate
for your application. Try bringing the old bearing with you to show them.
